Pori Beach
The closest sandy beach to Monemvasia, just a few minutes' drive from the rock. A long stretch of golden sand with crystal-clear water, sunbeds, and a beach taverna. Tip: the views of Monemvasia from this beach are stunning — bring your camera at golden hour.
Ambelakia
A small, sheltered pebble cove with turquoise water, surrounded by rocks and greenery. Quiet and less developed than Pori. Ideal for a peaceful swim away from any crowds. Tip: the water clarity here is excellent for snorkelling.
Xifias
A long, organized sandy beach on the mainland coast opposite Monemvasia, popular with families. Shallow water, sunbeds, and several seaside tavernas serving fresh fish. Tip: the tavernas here serve some of the best grilled octopus in the region.
Plitra
A charming fishing village with a long pebble-and-sand beach, calm waters, and excellent fish tavernas right on the seafront. Less touristy than the nearby resort beaches. Tip: combine your beach day with lunch at one of the waterfront tavernas.
Stavri
A secluded pebble beach with deep blue water, hidden among rocky cliffs. Requires a short walk to reach but rewards with privacy and natural beauty. Tip: bring water and snacks as there are no facilities.
