For a wilder, longer alternative to Porto Katsiki. The staircase descent is longer (350 steps) but the reward is a beach that still feels genuinely remote and undisturbed.
For families, sunsets, and a long stretch of soft sand with full facilities. Walk south past the organized section for progressively quieter conditions.
A small pebble cove near Agios Nikitas on the northwest coast, accessible on foot. One of the most picturesque and low-key spots on the island.
North of Kathisma, a quieter sandy beach with a dramatic cliff backdrop and largely local crowd. Excellent for late afternoon swimming when the light turns golden.
